Behind the Scenes of My L’Oréal Photoshoot with Celebrity Molly Mae
My Perpective as a Celebrity Photographer
As a celebrity photographer based between London and the Cotswolds, I have the incredible opportunity to work with some great names in the beauty and fashion industry. One of the most exciting and rewarding photoshoots I have recently worked on was a beauty campaign shoot for L’Oréal featuring influencer and celebrity, Molly Mae Hague
The Vision for the Shoot
When L’Oréal reached out to me for this brief, the vision was clear: create something that not only showcased their new beauty products of L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Hyaluronic acid range but also captured the essence of Molly-Mae’s personal brand. As a beauty photographer, my aim is to always bring something fresh to each shoot and from the beginning, we focused on making sure that every shot highlighted both the product and Molly-Mae’s natural beauty. The lighting, the set and wardrobe choices were all carefully curated to ensure that every detail came together seamlessly.
The Energy on Set
What stood out the most during the shoot was Molly-Mae’s energy. Not only is she a highly successful influencer with millions of followers, but she’s also a professional who takes her craft seriously. The way she effortlessly posed for each shot, switching between looks and moods with ease. As a photographer, it’s always exciting to work with someone who is as engaged and passionate about the project as you are. Molly-Mae was not only a delight to work with but a true collaborator, bringing her personal touch to every frame.
As a celebrity photographer in London, it’s important to connect with your subject, and that’s something I truly value. Before our shoot, I had a couple of minutes to chat, we talked about her life as mother and shared our stories together as first-time mums. Molly-Mae was open to direction, yet contributed her own creative input, making it feel like a true partnership. Her professionalism, combined with her playful spirit, made for a smooth and enjoyable experience on set.One of my favourite moments from the day was capturing the intimate beauty shots of Molly-Mae, where we focused on her flawless makeup and radiant skin. With a combination of soft, flattering lighting and carefully selected L’Oréal products, we were able to highlight her natural features while showcasing the brand’s latest innovations. These shots were designed to feel effortless, highlighting that luxurious yet attainable beauty that L’Oréal is known for.
Throughout the shoot, we made sure to keep the atmosphere light and fun, which allowed Molly-Mae to truly shine in every shot. Whether it was a close-up shot of her applying a product or a full beauty image with the perfect backdrop, the entire day felt like a celebration of beauty, confidence, and creativity.

The Final Product
Looking back at the final images, it’s clear that the shoot was a complete success. The collaboration with L’Oréal and Molly-Mae was everything we hoped for and more. From the flawless product shots to the behind-the-scenes moments, it’s always amazing to see how the pieces come together and tell a story.
As a photographer, every project is an opportunity to push boundaries and create something unique. Working with influencers like Molly-Mae is always an exciting experience, and it reminds me of why I love capturing the beauty and personality of such inspiring individuals.

Being an influencer photographer in London has given me the chance to work with some of the most talented and innovative personalities in the world. Working with Molly-Mae for a shoot with a global brand like L’Oréal was a career highlight, and I’m grateful for the opportunity.
